About
Dr. Amadi
I have always been interested in holistic
health care, nutrition, and psychology. Both of my parents were
journalists who trained me to analyze information, read between
the lines, and be conscious of whose interest might be involved
in my getting that information. This is why my point of view may
not always be that of conventional doctors. I also attribute my
perspective to my wider education on health than traditionally trained
medical doctors are usually exposed to.
I graduated from the Bronx High School of
Science in 1974. I graduated from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook Medical
School in 1987, where I won honors in Family Practice and a prize
for a paper I wrote on public health policy. I did my family practice
residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. While in medical school, I
had served as student representative to the American Association
of Family Physicians. In 1990, upon finishing my residency, I moved
to Miami and worked for one year as assistant faculty in the Family
Practice Department at Jackson Memorial Hospital. |

Subsequently, I have worked in various community health centers
and clinics in South Florida from Perrine to Belle Glade. I have
been married for over 18 years and have three beautiful young children.
I passed my N.C.C.A.O.M. exams in acupuncture, point location, and
Chinese herbs after attending three years of classes and community
acupuncture clinic. I also became licensed in Florida in acupuncture.
In May of 2001, I opened my own private practice, utilizing what
is best in Chinese and Western medicine. I mostly treated patients
with acupuncture, nutrients, and herbs. Between 2001 and 2003, I
also attended seminars in and utilized various energy medicine techniques
which involved applied kinesiology, including N.A.E.T. (Nambudripad’s
Allergy Elimination Technique), Neuro Modulation Technique (by Leslie
Feinberg, D.C.) and Neuro Emotional Technique (by Scott Walker,
D.C.).
In August of 2003, I began utilizing the EPFX
(known in Europe as the QXCI or the SCIO) as my main modality of
treatment as well as assessment. [maybe a link to EPFX where it
is described?]
This unconscious biofeedback, based on the principles of quantum
physics, has been truly revolutionary in terms of it’s wide
ranging energy medicine programs (which include acupuncture meridian
balancing), and also it’s ability to identify trends in a
patient at the energetic level, before these changes might actually
result in changes at the biochemical level (detectable in blood
labs) or changes in the structural level (physical exam, x-rays,
scans).
I keep my patient’s healthy by using mostly unconscious biofeedback
EPFX, occasional acupuncture for musculoskeletal pain, the finest
nutritional supplements and herbs, lifestyle counseling, and referring
patients to the appropriate allied health practitioners. I only
use Western medicine where it is appropriate and necessary in order
to give more natural methods time to work.
My ideal patient is the one who accepts responsibility for their
own health and works with me as a team to help them on their path
towards optimal health: physical, mental, and spiritual.
